Off season Lifting

We will begin off season weight training today and will continue every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These session are non-mandatory until January, but are highly recommended as we develop a STRONG Wildcat football program.
Every opportunity to get stronger should be taken advantage of. The session will run from 2:45 till 4:00 on those days. It does make a difference whether you lift with the TEAM or on your own!

JV Game

It is now Official. We will be traveling to Warren for a JV game next Saturday, 11-1. The bus will leave for the game at 8:00.

Football Banquet

The Banquet has been set up for December 14th. It will be a pot-luck supper. We are asking each family to bring a single dish large enough to feed your family. I really like Pot lucks. I am glad the booster club has voted on this!

Additional JV Game

We are working on setting up another JV game for next Saturday. We have an offer from Harbor Creek to play them, and Warren has said that they may have a JV team to play as well. We will go to Warren if they indeed do have a team. If they do not, we will know by the end of today, then we will travel to Harbor Creek.

General McLane

Traditionally, General McLane has been a big rival for Northwestern. Since GM became a triple A school and we moved out of the ECL, the rivalry has lost some of its punch. This year GM is not so worried about the Wildcats because they are looking only at our record and game scores. What they may not be seeing is the hard hitting defense or the deceptive offense which has become a trademark for this rejuvenated program.
This week the defense must play disciplined, rule-based football to slow the GM option attack. We will not stop them completely, but we will slow them down and force them into some tough 3rd down situations. In the mean time, the offense will execute precise plays and dominate the clock thus keeping the Lancer offense on the sidelines.
Come to the Lancers field, only 10 minutes away, and help cheer the hard-working Wildcats to a victory against this rival. A 500 season is within our reach! We will give you 4 quarters of play this week because we BELIEVE, and the seniors are going to leave their mark and legacy for future teams to follow!

Believe in Perfection

As a team, last night, the Wildcats decided to set a goal of TEAM perfection. We all know that we will not ever reach individual perfection (only one human has ever reached that goal), but we are striving for perfection as a TEAM during the final 3 games this year. The TEAM believes that we will win the remaining 3 games. When you set a goal for perfection, if you do not achieve the goal of Perfection you will reach excellence.
